When we initially highlighted Queer Japan early last year, this ambitious project, that aimed to document the dynamic stories of Japan’s eclectic Japanese LGBTQ+ community, was still in it’s infancy. Fast forward a year later, and the team behind Queer Japan have successfully filmed over 100 interviews, in locations all across the breathtaking nation of Japan. Yet even with these grand accomplishment, this empowering documentary, amplifying queer voices still needs your support.
The development process of Queer Japan has finally reached the post production stage, which comes with some hefty expensives. It will cost nearly $40,000 to finish a final edit of Queer Japan, in time for the 2018 film festival circuit. To make this goal more feasible, the team behind Queer Japan is attempting to raise enough funds by May 30th, to finally complete this influential production.
