After 25 years, Paris Is Burning is still considered the cinematic bible in documenting the art of ballroom culture. The upcoming docufilm “KIKI” aims to build on this legacy, by honoring the next generation of this expressive art form and community. Directed by Sara Jordenö, KIKI is a NYC based documentary driven in elevating the experiences of Black and Latino queer folk, who are the pioneers of ballroom/vogue culture. Over the past year KIKI has been slaying the film festival circuit and now this highly acclaimed documentary will be released to the public. Beginning January 24th, you’ll be able to catch KIKI in theaters and streaming on most VOD services.
